Food and Farming Champion Award Helps Connect Consumers with Agriculture
The Executive Director of Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan says the Food and Farming Champion Award is an opportunity to draw attention to the good work being done to raise the public’s awareness of agriculture

Last month, as part of its Ag Awareness summit in Saskatoon, Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan named former Saskatchewan Deputy Agriculture Minister Alana Cook as its 2022 Food and Farming Champion Award recipient.
Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan Executive Director Clinton Monchuk says society in Canada is becoming more and more removed from primary agricultural production and this award supports the efforts of individuals to help bridge that gap.
“We’re seeing individuals that are taking little steps in their own communities about what they’re doing on their farms or ranches”
