Vantage Foods Belleville Acquired By Nationally-Renowned Beef Company



One of Canada’s largest beef companies has taken over a food processing facility in Belleville

JBS Canada, based out of Alberta, has recently acquired Vantage Foods, located in the city’s Northeast Industrial Park.

A media release from the Quinte Economic Development Commission stated this is a powerful move for JBS Canada that will bring security and legacy to the Bay of Quinte region.

The Vantage seafood line and “case-ready” red meat go directly onto the shelf for customer convenience, including pork, beef, lamb, sausage, and ground beef. Custom cuts are provided to Metro and are available at Food Basics, Metro, and Super C (Quebec) grocery stores.

Vantage Foods has been a key member of the Bay of Quinte business community during the last 10 years. Employing over 300 people at the Belleville facility, they’ve always had a desire to grow here long term.
