Delta Genomics Sells Genotyping Services to Global Genomics Company

Delta Genomics Centre has sold its genotyping services in an asset sale to Neogen Canada Inc, a subsidiary of Neogen Corporation, securing improved genomics servicing deal for Canadian livestock producers and researchers

With the acquisition, Delta’s laboratory operations will continue under Neogen Canada and become Neogen’s fifth animal genomics laboratory worldwide. Neogen is a global animal safety leader in the development of animal genomics and products, including diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, veterinary instruments, wound care and disinfectants. The acquisition will help ensure more affordable genomics services to drive greater adoption of genomic technologies throughout the Canadian livestock industry.

Neogen Canada will maintain its operations in Edmonton, Alberta and Delta Genomics will continue its mission to improve the sustainability, profitability and competitiveness of the Canadian livestock industry. Delta Genomics’ CEO Michelle Miller is named the new general manager of Neogen Canada and will continue to work with the Delta Genomics board of directors to support customers during the transition.

Delta Genomics Centre services both the livestock industry and livestock research communities.
